How it fits
Continuing education isn’t a single thing.
You probably already use a mix of CE — a conference here, a webinar there, a journal article when you have a quiet hour. Each one does something the others don’t. Ibis Learning is the option you reach for when reading or watching aren’t on the table: your commute, between patients, during a walk, on the treadmill.
The point isn’t to replace what already works for you. It’s a way to learn while you’re on the go — and get credit for it.
Where each route shines
| Route | Format | Best for | Schedule | Hands-free? | Interaction |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| In-person conferences | Travel + multi-day immersion | Networking, community, scheduled deep dives, exposure to new ideas across sessions. | Fixed dates; often weekday travel. | No — you're in a room. | Q&A in select sessions. |
| Live webinars | Scheduled video session, often with chat | Topical updates from a known expert; structured walkthroughs of new guidelines. | Fixed time; needs your full attention. | No — viewing required. | Chat questions; sometimes voice Q&A. |
| Recorded video / on-demand courses | Watch-and-click modules with periodic checkpoints | Filling specific knowledge gaps you can name in advance; meeting required-topic mandates. | On demand; sit and watch. | No — eyes on screen. | One-way; you watch. |
| Journal-based CE | Read an article, take a comprehension test | Deep reading on a single paper or guideline; methodical review. | On demand; sit and read. | No — reading required. | None until the test. |
| Ibis Learning | Voice-first conversation with an AI panel grounded in authoritative sources | Working through a clinical question while it's on your mind. Active recall and reasoning during in-between moments — commute, walking, between patients. | On demand, any length. | Yes — phone in pocket, headset, or hands-free Bluetooth. | Real-time, two-way conversation.* The AI adapts to what you ask. |
* Real-time voice conversation is included on Pro Live and Pro Live HD plans. Free is text-only; Pro uses standard turn-based voice. See pricing for details.
The slot Ibis Learning fills
Conferences, webinars, recorded courses, and journals all require a posture: you sit, you watch, you read, you take a test. They’re excellent for that posture. They’re not designed for the moments in between.
In-between moments are where Ibis Learning belongs. Walking between patients. Driving home thinking through a case. On a treadmill. Folding laundry while a clinical question is still on your mind.
The mode is voice-first, conversational, and grounded in authoritative sources — clinical practice guidelines, FDA labeling, and the literature your specialty already relies on. Sessions include timestamped records of engaged learning time and a verification ID on every certificate.
You ask a question; you get an answer that mirrors how a colleague would think it through with you. You can interrupt, dig deeper, change topics, or come back to it later. The conversation adapts to what you actually want to learn.
Accreditation status, in plain terms
Ibis Learning issues continuing education certificates with unique verification IDs. We are not currently an accredited provider; ANCC Provider Unit accreditation is in progress. Until that completes, treat Ibis Learning as a self-directed learning tool that complements your accredited CE, not a replacement for it. Once accredited, the same sessions you use today will be eligible for credit under that accreditation.
We’d rather tell you the truth and earn your trust over time than oversell where we are.
